  • Keynote Speaker Chizoba Imoka: International Development Week

    Dates: 10 – 10 Feb, 2016
    In celebration of International Development Week and Diaspora for Development, Cuso International presents keynote speaker Chizoba Imoka.

    Chizoba is the founder and CEO of Unveiling Africa (UVA), an organization that unites and connects Nigerian teenagers around the globe for positive social change. She holds a Masters in Educational Administration and International Development Education from the University of Toronto and is currently pursuing a PhD. Chizoba’s excellence and contributions in the community, professional life and academia has gained recognition. She is the recipient of the 2013 Heroes Award for Selfless Service to Africa, Global Citizenship Award from the University of Alberta International, Teamwork Award from Alberta Transportation and the BBPA Minerva Scholarship for academic excellence. Chizoba is a Junior Fellow at Massey College in University of Toronto.

  • Conférence-rencontre : La gestion participative au coeur d'un développement international inclusif et durable (In French)

    Afin de souligner la Semaine du Développement International, Cuso International et le Conseil Panafricain de Québec (COPAQ) vous invite à venir réfléchir sur la coopération internationale volontaire et comment celle-ci contribue au développement économique et social des communautés. Ce sera l'occasion de présenter l'approche de gestion inclusive et durable du développement préconisée par Cuso International et d'entendre les témoignages inspirants d'ancien-ne-s coopérant-e-s dans différents pays.

    Venez entre autre y rencontrer Martine Gauthier, ancienne coopérante comme conseillère en développement organisationnelle au Bénin et souligner l'importance des diasporas pour le développement!

    Walk (or run) with us in Ottawa this spring while raising funds for Cuso International programs that support women and children. 
     
    In order for international development to achieve positive lasting change, women and men must receive the same opportunities to participate in decisions that affect their lives. That is why we are walking (or running) in support of all the strong, determined and courageous women whose lives we are helping to change every day. All funds raised through this event will support projects that create brighter futures for women around the world.
     
    As an added benefit, every $1 raised will be matched 9 times by the Canadian government. That means each dollar has the power of $10! Your dollars and efforts mean more!
